An afternoon of Style, Celebration, and Community
The Ocala wedding and prom community showed up in style at the recent Prom & Wedding Expo held at the Downtown Market in Ocala. Hosted by The Event Warehouse, Smile Time Photo Booths, and Airhead Balloons, the event brought together local vendors, stunning fashion, and plenty of inspiration for upcoming weddings and proms.
I was thrilled to attend with a booth showcasing some of my wedding and portrait work, and even more excited to document the energy, details, and fun moments happening throughout the afternoon.
Having a booth at the expo gave me the chance to connect in person with engaged couples and/or their parents planning for the wedding season. There’s something special about seeing people’s reactions as they flip through albums, view large prints, and imagine their own moments captured in a similar way. These conversations are always a reminder of why I love what I do.
Fashion Show: Prom & Wedding Style on Display
One of the standout moments of the afternoon was the fashion show presented by The Event Warehouse, featuring a beautiful mix of prom and wedding dresses. From elegant bridal gowns to bold, trend-forward prom looks. These moments also give future brides and prom attendees a chance to see styles in motion, not just on a hanger.
A Show-Stopping Dance Performance
Adding even more excitement to the evening was a special performance by Arthur Murray Dance Studio, which demonstrated wedding dance choreography. The performance was elegant, fun, and full of personality, even a couple of lifts that reminded me of the movie "Dirty Dancing".
Celebrating Local Vendors & Community
Beyond the runway and performances, the expo was a true celebration of Ocala’s local event community. Vendors from across the area came together to share their services, ideas, and creativity.
